Near identical grape composition as the Amarone Classico. This superiore ripasso is 're-passed' with a pomace of grape skins to produce a medium bodied wine with a hint of sour cherry.
Of the four Valpolicella styles, two are best enjoyed within the first five years of release (Classico, Ripasso). The Amarone and Recioto can last for 10 years or more in the bottle.
