Wine Story
From the sun-drenched hills of Loreto Aprutino in Abruzzo comes "Brilla", a fresh and luminous expression of the rare Cococciola grape. Long overlooked in the Italian wine world, Cococciola has been revived by the passionate hands of Marchesi de’ Cordano, a family estate devoted to rescuing native varietals and celebrating their character. "Brilla", meaning "sparkle" in Italian, reflects the wine’s bright, lively nature and its deep-rooted connection to Abruzzo’s maritime climate and limestone-rich soils.
Vintage & Producer
2023; produced by Marchesi de’ Cordano, a family-run winery in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo, known for its dedication to indigenous grapes and a modern, quality-driven approach to traditional winemaking.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with subtle greenish reflections. The bouquet opens with crisp aromas of white grapefruit, lemon zest, and green apple, interwoven with delicate floral notes of orange blossom and acacia. On the palate, it’s dry, refreshing, and harmonious, with vibrant acidity and a lingering mineral finish that speaks of its hillside terroir.
Food Pairing
A beautifully versatile white, "Brilla" shines alongside with seafood and vegetarian dishes.
